Decolonization is a complex and multi-layered process that involves the dismantling of colonial systems, ideologies, and power structures that have historically oppressed and marginalized Indigenous peoples and other groups. At the heart of decolonization is the recognition of the impacts of colonialism on cultures, languages, lands, and ways of life, and the active efforts to reverse and heal from these impacts.
